I feel your pain CherylReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Siobhan (United States), Sep 15, 2019 at 05:17 Dear Cheryl, you have every right and reason to be worried. The first problem is that seventeen year age difference between your daughter and the Moroccan. Twenty two is usually not the most mature male, in any country. I don't see how this relationship could work even in the West...but this you already know. Mena males usually marry young virgins of similar age or younger. If he marries your daughter then it will be more than likely for his green card/citizenship. They don't do romance. Everything is arranged for them. Like you, I'm concerned that your grandson might not return. The family will want him to be brought up a Muslim. Some Mosques start taking the child from as early as six months. I don't think your daughter will have much say in the matter and they are not afraid to resort to kidnapping. There are many stories about this. Movies have been made from some of these experiences. Is it possible for you or her dad to go with her to Morocco or join her there when it's time for her return? That's the only idea that comes to mind. Please introduce your daughter to this forum. If she is as pig-headed as my daughter, then sadly, she'll just have to learn from her mistakes.
