Non muslim man --- muslim womanReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Brian (Canada), Sep 9, 2019 at 08:45 I'm having my own trouble.... I'm a man that believes in Jesus Christ, and as a Lutheran with a family that's been part of the church or been preachers since the 17th century. I used to believe I was an atheist but returned to God this year... I met a woman who is modern, educated, career minded, self sufficient and... A muslim. I think she's great but my stomach turns every time I think about our religious differences. She's progressive but ensures that her three children are brought up experiencing their faith. Here's the real problem... I'm 51, never married and with no children. I decided about a year ago that I wanted to meet a woman with some children, a belief in God, traditional gender roles, family values and doesn't accept the world of rainbows and gender bending... She fits most of the bill but I can't get past the Muslim thing... Although, I know I've completely fallen for this woman---like, I'm feeling that I'm in love and I know she feels the same--I KNOW we can't be together. It's sad but I can't support a religion that I find bordering on evil or that declares it's followers a "special kind of race." So... I'm new to this site and I don't know how it works but if anyone can offer some advice on how to delicately let my muslim lady-friend know that I can't accept her religion and therefore not her as my partner... I want a woman to go to church with, not a woman that believes in something that I find detestable and violent... I'm just being realistic and practical... FYI---I would never ask her to convert her religion because I would never convert from mine.... Being involved with a faith that calls for the destruction of my own can't be an option for me.... It's so sad too because as I said, she's a loving woman with wonderful kids but my gut says run and when my gut speaks, I listen. Help and civility on this matter are welcomed.
