Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men
in response to reader comment: Considering converting to Islam to marry a Moroccan

The fact that he proclaimed his love for you so early, and discussed marriage, should tell you immediately that he is up to no good. Also, the fact that you are initiating all contact now - not wanting to "bother" you is an excuse only. He is playing the field, and getting off on you pursuing him. My husband also let me access his email and Facebook account in the beginning to show how "trustworthy" he was, but believe me, he has several other accounts, profiles, and phone numbers.

It doesn't matter if he is supposedly a U.S. citizen - are you sure about this? Did he show you proof? More than likely, that is a lie. I'm sorry, but after what my husband did to me, I don't trust any Moroccan man. They are all the same, except for the ones who DON'T pursue Western women and elect to pursue their own destiny without using others. Sorry to be so negative, but for your own sake, you need to forget him and move on. Good luck.
