And I'm so glad you have overcome your unhealthy relationship. Well done! Yes, once we realise all, we start seeing that what we have saved ourselves from living a nightmare, a deceitful life. We realise that we would have lost all our liberties, our rights, ourselves... Our identity. In short, our lives. We are far better although breakups hurt like hell. But it is a temporary pain and what comes next really worth it.

As I invested many years in learning their religion and culture, so unknown from us westerners, I truly thought it was my duty to pass my knowledge so maybe I could save some girls to go through what I had to face. And as there is only a few people, if not no one who can really understand and to whom we can talk, I found that this board was the best way to both help and heal my wounds. At least makes me feel that all the time I wasted on that relationship was not in vain. As I always say, knowledge is power. Nothing better than sharing it.

Thank you again for your lovely post and for posting in here too to provide other women with your knowledge and experience. I'm very happy that you left behind your non deserve and terrible experience. Keep going forward!
