Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men

Submitted by Lou (United Kingdom), Aug 22, 2019 at 17:36

I would just like to respond to Paige's response in that I hope you are right but as my family and friends would agree that it's not all about the money with him, yes he definitely sees me as property and whatever money I have he believes is his but a lot of it is also about his power and control over me.
He is highly dependent on me in every kind of way and the courts and probation service picked up on this and said I was high risk.
I hope yes he will just leave it and move on in his life, stay in his country and settle once and for all, it is the best thing for him than keep running around the world and not getting anywhere with it but only getting into trouble with the law.
And yeah I agree you kind of get used to the drama and madness but it all comes at a cost and affects your health and financially and I'm not getting any younger.
When some men see you as part of their identity and it all falls apart they can become dangerous and can go to lengths to get that control back.
As others have stated on here threats should be taken seriously.
But like I said I hope now he decides just leave things the way they are and move on.
