Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men

Submitted by Lou (United Kingdom), Aug 20, 2019 at 21:53

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for all your lovely comments, they really help.
And yes you are so right they can control us even from afar.
I'm in the U.K. and he is in Iraq and when he threatens me that he can return here, yes he can, he sneaked back here once before and he could do it again.
They travel through turkey into Europe and then cross the water by lorry. So it's still hard to rest even when he's miles away now.
Sometimes these people have nothing to lose in life and then I suppose anything is possible!
I also agree that yes we are empaths and that's not are fault that we are so caring and trusting and can take us along time to finally say enough is enough.
But I see now that every word that comes out of his mouth is the same repeated words I've heard for years and it's all lies.
He has told me that if I leave him he will hurt himself and quite possibly would as he cut his own leg open 6 years back and it needed 40 stitches, and he said if he does something to himself then God will bring something bad for me, which I know is untrue but still deep down it's not nice to hear that someone will hurt themselves.
And you know why it's so hard for me to go no contact, well if I go no contact which yes would be less headache for me, and then he sneaks back here and shows up somewhere where he knows I go then what?
Police don't do anything til something actually happens, and at the moment he's not in my country.
When I'm in contact I know where he is, but the minute I cut the contact i won't know where he is.
So what would you do, when someone has made threats to hurt you and put acid in your face, are they empty threats can you 100 % say they are, because I certainly can't.
But don't worry ladies I don't plan to go to him. Not a chance.
