Thanks, Chelsea!Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Robin (United States), Jul 3, 2019 at 17:01 I thought the same thing in regards to our marriage, that there was no record in the U.S., so no big deal. We married in Morocco, and he never made it to the U.S. because of failing his visa interview. Had he not shown his true colors, I would have continued to try to bring him here by hiring (and paying for) an attorney, but "Mr. Once Was" (I love that) couldn't keep up the act, plus he was stupid and I found evidence of him cheating on me, both in Morocco and South Korea (where he is now). I notified the U.S. Embassy in Casablanca and the U.S. and Moroccan embassies in Seoul, because he used our marriage to be able to stay in Seoul (he told the immigration officer that he would only be there until he could get his visa to the U.S.). I don't want him to be able to get to the U.S. by ANY means, and I don't want him using our marriage and my personal information for his own benefit. I also alerted Seoul that his application for refugee status was based on lies, and included a photo of his Korean identification card. I don't know what, if any action they will take, but I have also written my state's U.S. senators about him, and one of them is looking into it. Nothing would make me happier than Seoul drop kicking him back to Morocco where he belongs. These guys don't care who they screw over to get what they want, and they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.
