Response to Didi's story: Moroccan, Muslim, Pregnant, Morocco

Hi Didi:

Thanks for sharing your story. I realize that may not have been the easiest thing you have ever written.

I would like to echo the comments that the best thing you can do now is to put the baby first and get your own life in order. I will also say that marrying a man will very rarely change him.

As far as him being a scammer, the warning signs are there even though you were the one who pushed to help. Scammers, liars and cheats love to set-up situations where you do all the offering.

Didi, even he isn't a scammer, this is a toxic situation, and certainly not because of the child, who is innocent in all of this. You wrote in your first post about how "they" are so good-looking, but you have to realize it's him, not them or their culture you would be marrying. If you brought him to the USA and he left you and the child after 5, 10 years, you could still be financially responsible depending on the situation. I also agree that if you take this child to Morocco, they may not let you leave with him/her.
