"But if he's just scamming and wants a green card, I doubt he'd be too interested in this baby anyway.. right?"

You bet he would. These men falsely assume a baby will speed up the immigration process. Times have changed and that red tape got... redder

"I don't go out alone, I'm always with him or his brother."

Sorry, but why? Even Moroccan women go out alone

"He says he's changed."

They all do. Till next time

"he decided we needed to move away from all family and friends to have a "peaceful life" without any interference or judgements bc now our family was his top priority."

Oh wonderful, now he's isolating you. Good luck with that one!

"And allow GOD to lead."

There's only so much God can do, my dear. It's on you now to make some big decisions

"What's so crazy is that every woman I met in Morocco, even strangers, talk about how great Islam is, how great the men are, and were quite welcoming. Am I missing something?"

Many are fantastic. There's good and bad the world over, but when you mix poverty, desperation, hypocritical viewpoints and hatred of women/infidels, you get a significant amount of bad. I've also found that you'll rarely get to meet the really good locals, and the couples that seem to be content are usually mutually benefitting from the arrangement (if you know what I mean).

Didi, you need to look at the bigger picture. I can see you love this man - either love or codependency - but take away his background and his looks and see him for what he really is. It pains me to see anyone - usually a woman - breaking her back over someone that isn't doing the same. You can end this now. Only you're in charge of your destiny, not a man, not a man's brother, remember that.
