I say why be naive and fool yourself. Ask him directly. Discuss serious matters with him. What does he think of democracy and freedom IN MOROCCO? What does he think about freedom of speech in Islamic countries? Will your marriage be recognized in Morocco, if you remain a Christian and raise your children as Christians? Is he open to converting to Christianity (or any other religion) for your sake? What does he think of apostasy? Do not shy away form such questions. Do not think that they do not matter. It is not everyone's birthright to make America their home. What will the life be like if you decide to make Morocco your home? What should it be like? Ask him about tall the Jews who once lived in Morocco? What happened to them? Where did they disappear? The questions are endless if you choose to ask them. To answer your question in brief, No, Moroccan guys should not do boyfriend-y things. Muslims guys should not have much relationship with women without getting married to them. So we have a little bit of a problem here: apparently your boy friend is not a good Muslim. Submitting....
