Perhaps he misjudged your assets. Perhaps he was thinking he could gain long-term by getting a VISA or other papers. But you can't read his mind. One thing I have learned is that it's not worth the time or the effort. He has already shown his true motives. I understand that why you are seeking a logical explanation, but sometimes there just isn't one. There are people (men and women) who will use others to gain something even if it's not much. In any case, Asiyah, the relationship has run its course. It's good you are out at this point.
