Thank goodness I was fortunate not to get too far in with my rat or his rat family for any of that to happen to me. I never met him. Figured him out beforehand.

The black magic was an observation. I have read about how black magic is used in those countries as well as the evil eye. It could make sense as too why or how we are so drawn to these men.

The rat families appear to be so loving when really they are all in on the con. I've often read about how the victim is given some sort of jewelry (a bracelet) or some other gift from the mother. What better way to lure a victim then to douse some black magic all over it? just a thought
