Splenda love

Yes definitely, Sheila, also throw in the fact that a lot of us were caught during times of stress... or while on holiday which can trigger a state of cognitive dissonance.

Everyone wants a distraction from reality.

When you really think about it these men don't give us that safe feeling of true love. It's Splenda love. There's no real connection... no deep, meaningful discussions that a genuine man might offer. It's all very artificial, especially given the fact that they usually zone in on us really quickly. Half the time you barely even know one another!

Love isn't about looks or sweet nothings... it's unconditional, which is why these relationships are doomed from the start. They're based on personal gain (usually for the man but sometimes both...).
