He is the one who should be ashamed

Hey Lorna. Don't be ashamed. How could you know? He is the one who should be ashamed. I am so glad you came to this forum. I am especially glad that you got out. Consider it a blessing. I have seen some women on the forum that (I suppose) went over and never came back. Makes me wonder if they are ok.

They seek us out and trap us with words we want or need to hear. It is pyschological. Most times they have been watching you online somewhere to study you and yes groom you. It could happen to anyone.

I know that you are a smart woman and after you have read these stories here, you can see a definate pattern to their bezness. It was his loss....but you gained.

I know you are confused and hurting. But it will pass in time. You dodged a bullet that would have destroyed your life. I went a lot further that you in my situation and it took a long time to get myself back.

I had to start giving the love to myself that I was giving to him...BTW he did not appreciate. I would have not known if I had not went over there and saw it.

I am not ashamed, nor should you be. You may not want to tell alot of people. They really cannot understand unless they experienced this. But the women and men here do. This has been the most valuable place I have come for help.

Stay with us and each day you will get stronger and stronger. KEEP him far away from you. Emotional abuse is every bit as bad as physical ... may even worse.

You should feel good in this one thing. Feel good and thankful that God lead you to this forum. After a little while you will be helping others with your story.

Now is the time for you to pamper yourself. Rest. Do something that occupies your mind. Retrain your brain to think of how blessed you are that you moved on. It will get better.

You have nothing to feel shame over. This is just another effect they want to leave you with. You are gonna be ok. Be glad that you saw the truth and be proud...not ashamed that you saw through his lies and deceit.
