Jackie - I am sorry you have been deceived by this person (he is not a man) but I am so glad you did not go. They do not have a conscience (my MAC changed the word on my last post!) and fortunately you have found out very early on what these people are capable of. There are hundreds of "visa geezers" littering the planet and I would not get my mail posted if I stated what I really think of these parasites. Make sure you cancel your card and anything else / info he may have had of yours. Do not be scared of him - he is the one that should be scared.

Just go no contact going forward and that means NO CONTACT and he will move on to someone else. Do not respond at all even when you are feeling weak if he tries to communicate with you! In terms of his family it is a hard pill to swallow - we do not operate as they do and it is truly disgusting. I still cannot believe I was welcomed (well, supposedly welcomed....) into his family and that his Mother, Father, sisters, basically all relatives both male and female, friends and his "real" wife were in on it. What / who are these people?? You have to feel sorry for them because they lead such sad lives, truly.

Rise above it, be thankful it was early days for you and you will recover. Keep coming to the forum because it helps - some people here have been through the same thing and understand. It will make you feel better reading information / others stories, not because of others misfortune but because there is support and similar experiences to yours. You will get through this and your anger is good, it will make you stronger. Appreciate the small things in life on a daily basis and look after "you" for now. Take care.
