HI Natalie,

I am new to this website, came across it by accident while searching for something else. Anyways I've been reading through this thread and I really like how thorough you are with your comments against going to Algeria.

I too was almost the victim of love bomb. I guess I sort of had an idea from the start, especially since there was a significant age gap between us and I know that isn't acceptable in their country even if he was telling me that it is not a problem. I decided to play it out for a bit just to see how far this person would go. Everything he said to me fitted the description everyone describes on here so I deleted and blocked him right away. A week later, he found me through another website claiming that he was trying to find me and asked me why I blocked him and that he missed me blah blah blah so I actually called him out on what he was doing, of course he denied everything but I knew better. We talked for a bit but he just couldn't convince me that he was genuine no matter what he said. We stopped talking to one another.

I was relieved that I never let it go too far to do damage. You are right Natalie when you say they are experienced con artists they know exactly what to do and what to say. Happy to hear that you made it out sooner than later
