Single lady coming to Algeria in August to meet Muslim

Hi all,

I am unsure if I am submitting these questions properly, but will be going to Algeria end of August to meet a man I met online in a group we both just happen to follow. Our feeling for one another have grown and since I have committed to going to meet him and his family I have seen many red flags. I just found out he quit his job and is "waiting for me"! I am currently in between jobs and taking unpaid time off until my new job begins. My fear is that he assumes I am coming to marry him and bring him back to the USA immediately during my two week long planned out expensive $3800 trip all paid and planned by me! I really just want to met him, his family and understand his culture. He spends 10 hours a day away from home and states he has no wi fi and we text about 30 minutes now vs video chatting since he knows I am coming for sure, but honestly till waiting on my VISA. I must be crazy to have fallen so hard for some one in six months, but I just would like to have him come meet me near the Embassy close which is within 5 miles of the airport and hotel, but he is upset because he expects me to stay with his family until he gains his VISA to return back to USA with me. I do not know what to do other than just not go and move on. How will I know if this is "real" if I do not meet him?
