If he converted to another religion,he will be killed for being an apostate.

I have read about a case where a Muslim woman married outside ISLAM.The parents ex-communicated her.The couple lived happily for a while and one fine day her cousin arrived with gifts( her favourite confectionery and some items to decorate the couple's home).They had dinner and while leaving,the cousin suddenly whipped out a dagger slitting the throats of the two.He handed himself to the police proudly.

There are some women who do maintain their religion, but eventually as soon as children arrive --who are raised as Muslims- the women are gradually coxed to convert so that they merge well.
