Sad that the children will have no choice

Christians are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers and I judge no one for I was of one faith and in my first marriage at a young age married a man of another...yet my children were given the choice of choosing my faith or his. He was catholic, I am protestant. My children are protestant. They had the option to choose thankfully. Of course I was not devout when I married very young and did end of divorced.

What concerns me is the daughter who will be muslim. In that system they can be married off at 13. Moderate or not. Also there are those who must be married before a certain age for child bearing reasons. I know from seeing it first hand and then learning about what I experienced. It is hard for the woman. If she goes into her 30s ...she becomes less desirable because her means of having lots of children seems to diminish and I knew one such moderate muslim woman who was facing that.

IN ISLAM says it all. Yep. Total control. That is not moderate. Still will be under sharia. One would wonder this: If the wife is non-muslim and has her own finances and seems to be in control still of her own decisions...could not she stand up for the rights of her children to also make their own choices?
