in response to reader comment: With due respect, why is Reader Luhx scamming her Egyptian husband

Submitted by Luhx (United States), Jun 20, 2018 at 00:55

My husband is the one who put in place the idea of me having my OWN bank account, that is seperate as this is something we discussed with the Iman because I have no family other than an aunt and uncle, and if something were to happen in our marriage, my husband could go back to Egypt and I would be left with nothing.

I have my own account to ensure my financial security, but I do spend my money on us very often. I also use my money to buy my husband gifts and things like that. So, no one in our marriage is being scammed.

It should also be said that my husband is the breadwinner in our family, and aside from that has never wanted me to pay for bills. In fact, I am the who decided to work. He would not care if I stayed at home. I like working and that is why I do.

We discussed the religion of our children a long time ago and agreed they will be raised in Islam.

What you are talking about makes no sense at all.
