Thank God I realized all of these things before moving to Egypt. I met my now husband on a trip to Bankok, we exchanged numbers and eventually he invited me to Egypt all costs covered except for the flight. He was my prince charming. I felt in loved with him right away. He was romantic, respectful, open minded, and he made sure that everything was first class. Within 2 months we were married in the States and 2 weeks after our marriage he went back to Egypt to wait for me.

Suddenly everything changed, he stopped communicating he would only talk about work, his family and his kids school... no more interesting conversations so of course I started complaining and demanding that he try harder to communicate more just like he did before we got married. He then started wanting to know what I was doing, who I was with, if I was drinking and telling me how his busyness was in trouble and needed my expertise as soln as I get there.

After so many fights he suddenly disappeared, no calls or txts for 2 weeks. I was mad how can a husband not cared if his wife is ok, if she ate, and just abandon her like that? And honestly after two weeks he called and it just got worse. He said that when I married him I accepted him for who he was and he wasn't gonna change and if I wasn't happy I could be free. Once he said that I was done.

As soon as we got married he stopped being romantic, sweet, he stopped selling me dreams and it was an eye opening experience. It has only been 2 months since we got married and I'm already requesting an annulment of our marriage. He even told me he was 39 and when I saw his passport it said he is 54.

For your own safety my suggestion is read all these posts, and don't think that your experience will be different, it wont because most pof Egyptian men are the same unfortunately.

Don't waste your life in a toxic relationship, in a lie, and in thinking it will get better. It wont.

I haven't heard from the guy in weeks and I hope to never hear from him again.
