Agree to an extent

Once again your post is very insightful and true of the M/E cultures... and while it's true that a great deal of the women are very naive, I disagree that they don't know what's going on... or that they don't desire the same things us western women do. Of course they do - they want a man that's loving, pious and loyal. They want the guy they see in Bollywood films, handsome, with a pure heart. They watch TV dramas, they listen to music, to other women. But they're simply so ground down and repressed that these desires are ignored and swept away. Men are their main source of income - I mean how many people like going to work every day? Very few of us and yet we have to, to survive.

Men provide and women reproduce (preferably a son)... and this is their outlook.

Their mothers, grandmothers have all experienced life with a MENA man... the emotional torture, affairs... they learn to endure... the alternatives are bringing shame to the family or being left on the shelf. And so their daughters are encouraged to go after the man who can provide financially, if nothing else. The mentality is, it's better to be a well kept slave than one with nothing at all.
