Well Said, I have LONG had that opinion about online dating (no offense to anyone who does it/uses it, as I know personally several ppl who have met their spouses via a popular and reputable online matchmaking site).

However in terms of potential scammers and victims (or even less sophisticated "amateur" scammers or less overt ones), online dating sites couldn't be an easier place to hit their targets. It's a veritable pool of ppl who are ALL openly advertising their availability and who are likely socially and emotionally open, potentially vulnerable and potentially even damaged; all of which only assists their odds of "cashing in" a to speak regardless of what "currency" the scammer is dealing in/seeking. I realize how hard it is to meet someone in this day and age especially someone like myself who won't have sex outside of marriage (that seems to be an expected milestone early on in the dating game) and who is very marriage/children oriented, has traditional family with high expectations etc. so I get it! And how of course it can be argued that you have to put urself out there in order to ever have odds in your favor or at least try to, but I feel there is more organic and spontaneous means of achieving this same odds/possibilities.

Traveling (of course that can come with a caution label too, anyhing can lol), blogging, joining activities, hobbies, social groups, charitable or humanitarian or political cause, religious group or activity, even some of these things done online can open the doors to meet a wide and diverse array of new friends and by default, naturally a potential true love as well. They say love always shows up when you u aren't looking and I would have to say that is 150% true in my experience and that of those I know. Best df luck to all the interesting women I have chatted with on here and whose stories I've read!! There is someone for everyone and it's never worth settling or excusing red flags not at any age or situation! Teach a man how he has to treat you and surround yourself with positive people and be involved in the world and you will find happiness!! Not thru another person but thru yourself, you can't make anyone else happy unless you are Yourself, they say anyways ☺️
