Iranian citizenship by marriage clarification

To clarify, you MAY be eligible for citizenship in Iran by marriage to a citizen however they do not recognize dual citizenship so once you become an Iranian citizen you are under their jurisdiction so to speak and lose all diplomatic/consular aid from your country of origin and in the case of Iran this can be a very dangerous and foolish choice. It is known very well many cases of dual nationals being detained and imprisoned under espionage charges and similar Trumped up false crimes indefinitely and there is no help or guarantee of your release or safety, it is even a concern for Iranian born dual nationals such as my friend who regialrly travels back and forth to Iran.
