Ahlen ladies and Marissa, I haven't responded in some time as I have spent my summer and fall rather busy (expecting baby #4, brother had surgery and moving into our new flat) so I apologise I didn't read this sooner. I also apologize if I came across as saying that ALL western women who are targeted and become involved with these scammers are troubled or somehow "damaged" as I agree with you that is not 100% the case and everyone's situation is very much unique (although there are many similarities and red flags in common) each scenario kind of has to be viewed objectively and on a case by case basis, as i have know plenty here do not meet the stereotypical "catfish target" and no woman ever wants to view herself as being an "easy target" or "vulnerable" especially if she doesn't meet that criteria or is simply just a open hearted human being seeking a relationship just like most of us in fact are.

So it isn't enough just to say that only certain women are at risk and all scammers will act like/come across like "that" and everyone conveniently fits a mold for age/education level/'marital status/physical appearance etc. Bc they really don't you are absolutely correct in indicating that.
