Iranian citenzenship

No you would never be eligible for Iranian citizenship by way of marriage; you have to be born in Iran and a citizen OR have a father on the birth certificate (and also be given an Iranian/Islamic name) to be eligible. For the latter, there is additional paperwork that must be completed before a passport/citizenship is granted. my best friend and her husband are both dual Iranian citizens by birth (dual with us citizenship) and they have applied for and received Iranian passports and citizenship for their 4 children who were born in the USA.
