I think this is not a straight yes or no answer. There are many things that you should ask yourself, as only you would know. Then there are general question that some people on the forum would like to know.

Is there respect, understanding and compromise in your relationship? It has to come from both of you. If you find that you have to lean too much towards his culture, then there is no balance and I see a problem. The fact that he was born in the USA, does not necessarily mean he does not follow his Iranian customs. Most or perhaps all ethnic groups create a mini version of their homeland, wherever they go.

What about his parents/relatives? Are you accepted as a possible addition to his family?

What brought you to this forum?
