Dear Straight_Talk_Luigi,

I was a little surprised to read the statement above because your responses are usually among the more balanced and sensible. I look forward to reading them, so I now feel compelled to address; what I consider, a gross misunderstanding.

I have been an unabashed atheist for more than half my life. I have tried various religions but my intellect does not allow me to accept that anymore. I married a kind and generous man and religion was never a discussion between us. I later found out that he was also an atheist.

After fourteen years of marriage and three beautiful children, we both decided to separate. It was at my insistence because I had been given an excellent business opportunity in another country and he was unable to leave his business.

Our now grown children are well adjusted, respectful, generous and they are some of the kindest humans I have known. They did not have any problems with drugs or other major, teenage concerns. In fact, my daughter is dedicated to animal rescue and does it out of genuine concern and respect for life.

Although we now have separate lives, my ex and I have a great relationship and I can depend on his help for business advice or anything else I need and vice versa. We are friends with much respect for each other. We remain two atheists, with two atheist children - I'm not sure what the third one believes. :)

"Ambiguous" is what comes to mind after reading your statement. If I misinterpreted what you wrote, then I apologize.
