in response to reader comment: Advice to Non-Muslim women against marrying muslim men. Its a dangerous place to be.

My situation is similar in some ways to some of her posts but not entirely so I was just hoping to get opinions before I jump the gun...

So I met this guy online on a dating site but we met in person almost immediately, there was never any online only nonsense but he is here in the US and has been for a while which is another difference. Some other differences are that he is older than me by 5 years and not to sound conceited but I'm a pretty girl with a warm personality and have no problems meeting men, just ones that I actually like lol.

So here's the story...we met would go out and he would always pay, never asked me for anything.. I would stay over at is place and he introduced me to his friends and everything and he has a stable job. He told me when he 1st came here he was in a green card marriage but that he was legal now and has been for a while. He does claim though that he is responsible for putting his sisters through college and that until they graduate, his money isn't as much as he would like. My red flags went up when I heard this and then again when he started hinting to drop the "L" word waaayyy before he should have, but he never said " I love you" it was more like hinting he felt that way and waiting on my reaction 1st..but I feel like every man I've ever gotten serious with kinda did that so I just brushed it off as him being afraid of rejection...

the weird thing though is that when we met I was coming out of a roller coaster relationship and there was been 3 times now where we will start to date and then he does something that makes me nervous and I would run back to my ex.. Who is American like me. Each time I would do it, this guy would watch me go back, wait a few months and then randomly start txting me.. And for some reason he would always catch me at a really bad time in my life when I needed someone to turn to and I would cave and start talking to him again, but what I find odd is that he would tolerate this from me, he wouldnt even act mad or upset at all and welcome me back with open arms??

This guy is good looking and doesn't seem to have any problems getting women so why let me do what I did? I feel like now, after reading all these horror stories, that he didn't care cause he was using me anyway, or planned too and that's why he was never hurt when I kept choosing my ex.. I just want to know if other people agree with me or could it also be that he really does have feelings for me and that why?
