Jenny this man is insisting on marriage before sex because he knows that this makes him seem more legitimate. Also he might not be attracted to you but is very attracted to the visa. Also many Arab men have same sex casual relationships because of the lack of female partners or just preference. My friend married a Jordanian who also refused sex before marriage and after they married and he was here in the USA he began trolling sites like grinder seeking other men. His entire family descended like a swarm of locusts within 5 years. Her lovely four bedroom house has been turned into a ramshackle mess. it smells and the kitchen ceiling is spattered with oil. No one cleans up after themselves. When she was in Jordan his mother and sisters couldn't praise her enough and now they treat her like a servant. Despite having to live with 8 additional people and daily snickering and unkind comments she has stayed with him because he still knows all the right words. He has lived life on the down low the entire time. His father accuses her of not meeting his sons needs and blames her for making him turn to men. Now 6 years later she is on a cocktail of expensive HIV drugs.

Of course she still loves him and gives him all her money from her disability check. He calls her fat and ugly and says he was forced to look elsewhere because she turned him off. I remember 8 years ago she had a great life with her 2 kids. She was spiritual, kind and full of joy. She taught yoga for 12 years and was planning on opening her own studio. Now she has been ground down to a tiny nub. She has no sense of self worth and a chronic illness. Her kids live with their father in another state because her mental state is so frazzled and she has no energy.

I have come to the conclusion that the common thread of women who get scammed by Arab men is certain personality traits. Traits such as a strong sense of compassion, seeing good in people, generosity, spirituality and innate kindness. All these traits are wonderful but are a magnet to those that are looking to take advantage.
