Yes, I realize that he may be just the same. I am glad that he encourages me to keep working on my marriage. It's been almost 2 years before he confessed his "past" love to me and explains that we have a strong friendship now instead. He explains that even if he were to love me, our age difference is too high at 10 years, I am American, and not a virgin. He doesn't say what else. He says that he does not judge me on my life or culture, but as a Muslim, that is what he and other Muslim men look at. I really appreciate his honesty on the topics.

We still only talk about the earth sciences like geology, earthquakes, and how the whole geological timescale happened. Those conversations go on for hours without any hint of flirtatious behavior on his or my part. And that is just how I like it, purely platonic. And to be honest, he has helped me to heal myself and focus on my husband and child after my near divorce.
