Love as a commodity

Yes women do indeed have a tendency to fall for these men very rapidly... and I think often times they know deep down that it's all smoke and mirrors. So essentially they fall in love with a concept that's sold to them, and that concept is pseudo love. They know it's not real but they want and need it regardless.

I believe women especially tend to fall in love with an idea. Women fall for words, men for actions. Let's face it most men are jerks but as women we need them to bear and raise a family, so we'll find any way to tolerate their bad behaviour. Including faking happiness.

One must also remember that some women haven't had a compliment paid to them in up to five years. Here in the U.K. schoolgirls get wolf whistled more than adult women. So you can sort of understand why they might be easily charmed by these MENA men, who bring out the woman in us.
