Your last sentence: "I still have my doubts and fears ... any advice?" That's your instinct - LISTEN TO IT!!

I had neither doubts nor fears at all throughtout my liason with my rat until about 1.5 years into it. I wasn't even aware of these scams. I only found this forum when I got proof of his cheating among other things (I've posted my story here). Reading through all the posts here, I recognised a cookie cutter pattern of how they operate. It's the same sh*t they do to every woman - regardless of nationality. Any damned thing to get them out of their countries.

You are lucky you found this forum before you even met him in person.

This place has been my refuge and I've learnt so much here and I've had tremendous support.
