Have you ever met him in person?Is it not risky to communicate over the internet,even if that's for 4+ years,and trust him?

He might be a very decent man but then he might not be as well.You have asked him if his intentions being honorable and predictably he has said what he would only to convince you.If I am not mistaken,his reply about every aspect could be called Takiya(deception).This principle of deception is sanctioned by Quran.He can lie without feeling guilty later for havibg cheated you.If he is so well settled in Morocco,why is he prepared to settle down in the U.S.only to be with you and satisfy you?Many Muslims give promises earlier on and then change over to the typical excuse- the children have to be Muslim to inherit father's property.

If I have not missed any aspect of your query, you have communicated over the net alone and have never met him in person.I do not wish to insult you but would ask you frankly as to what is the guarantee about a MENA man being better compared to someone you can meet in the safety of your own country,the U.S.---with impeccable references from respectable people about the person's character and credibility?Granted that it appears romantic over the Skype or email.We all yearn for a dreamlike life.Does it happen to us?Even after marrying a known person ,marriage can go BOOM.Why does he not bring his family over to your country to first get acquainted with each other and marry you here itself-with a marriage certificate which can stand in court if something is not right here?Marriage in his country could be solemnized in a mosque which has probably no legal validity and so you can't do anything to fight your case.Many women lose the custody of their children in such marriages.NOW PLEASE DO NOT ASK HIM ABOUT THESE ISSUES RAISED BY ME,he can again convince you.Are you very innocent to have fallen for him?

There are indications of at least some Muslim men have travelled abroad-following the life events of their Prophet-it's termed HIJRAH(migration to another land to spread Islam).

I will be too happy for you if I am proved completely wrong but somehow I am not convinced by his assurances.Are they fromGod almighty that we can accept them?

Please ask a very pragmatic lawyer-preferably a woman-about various possibilities about such marriages.I don't want your little heart to get hurt.
