LITA - Narcissistic Personality Disorder

Many of these rats have NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) traits.

It helps to get ourselves better educated on this subject in order to understand how we fell for their charms and how they manipulated us. When we understand how we are and how they "operate", we are less inclined to feel foolish about letting ourselves in on such toxic relationships. And we begin to realise, there is no way to stay on because things will only get worse.

You seem to be very clear about your situation. So, you are going to get out of it and boy, are you going to be relieved and so very happy when you do.

Like you, Lita, I think it would be very difficult for me to open myself fully to love again. But isn't that how we feel when our hearts have been broken each time? The good thing is, we would be so much more careful the next time we meet someone.

I'm still fighting with all the feelings I have in me. I'm still furious as hell for trusting him too easily and deeply disappointed. But i'm definitely not going to kill myself over such an *sshole or allow him to push me to the edge of suicide.

Be strong, Lita. Try not to let him get the better of you. Read up on "Gray Rock" and find out if you can apply that on your relationship with him while you plan your safe exit.
