I'm sorry to read about your broken heart. I was married to an Egyptian and let me tell you I wish I could have experienced this before marriage. Send his rat family a thank you card. They did you a favor. Good true Muslims do not live with a member of the opposite sex who they share intimacy with unless its their spouse. I know it seemed good and happy, he was living in Americanized culture. You said you lived with him 3 years if he was American I would tell you to be happy it's over.

An American guy who had not married you and you're living with him for 3 years is not going to marry you. Why would it be any different with a Muslim man? This is forbidden in Islam to live together unmarried. I don't care what he tells you he knew he couldn't marry you. It's taught to them when they are very young. I know what I'm talking about. Why do you think his parents didn't know he was living with you? I hope when you can realize what I'm telling you is true that you will begin to heal. You're 26 around the age I was when I got married and we were married only long enough to have 2 children. You don't really know someone until you marry them. Some people think living together is the answer and it's not because the oerson can still change. He's 23. Oh yes he would have flipped a different side.
