Egyptian coptics just as bad

I met an Egyptian Coptic - he was raised coptic, married coptic and come to Australia with his bride, brothers and mother in his 20s. He was divorced in his 40s and became an atheist. I met him when he was 49. He was wealthy, charming, handsome and because he wasn't religious I thought his attitudes towards women would be more progressive. THEY WERE NOT. He viewed all women as whor***, especially white women. He was insanely jealous and accused me of all manner of things that weren't even true. I could not even smile at a taxi driver - it you know Australians - we are bright, happy and friendly and very open as a culture. He viewed that way of being as whor*** and he called me white trash numerous times. That relationship ended with him bashing me up badly after he saw me talking to a business man and giving him my business card. SO, no it isn't religion that makes these men violent and unsuitable for relationships. It is culture and for him to be divorced he must have been pretty bad because coptics do not take divorce lightly. He also cheated on his wife but he won't admit it so she cannot get a divorce in the church. He is incredibly vindictive as well. He almost had a break down when his daughter got a lebanese boyfriend cause he 'knows what lebos are like' (his words) Most middle easterners I met through him were far more racist about each other than any white Australian I have ever met and I deduced it was because they all had personal dealings with each other... None of them trust each other at all. He taught his son to cheat on his girlfriend and his double standards between his two children and between him and I were astonishing. Don't go near Egyptian men - no matter how westernised they are or seem to be. They are not.
