Checking In

Hello All,

I just wanted to send a quick note and let everyone know that I spent a month in Egypt with my husband and his family and it was AMAZING. His mother treated me like a princess, shopping sprees, jewelry gifts, and he didn't lie when he said his parents came from money. We had a driver, and a live in maid who was SO kind. I adopted a kitty from the street and we fed him everyday and I played with him each evening before he went to sleep. We went to the pyramids, and because his friends are military and police we got to go to the compound where they train the arabian horses!!! We spent the whole day there, watching and I even got to ride one them... There are pictures on my facebook of course. When we were there we had the lower level guards serve us teas and we talked all the way into the night. The place is absolutely AMAZING. I even got my patches to be part of the police, haha. But I havent sewed them on to my jacket yet.

We rode together through Cairo till 3am, listening to music and speeding around. We had dinner on the river Nile, and spent a lot of time with his sisters, nieces and nephews who I adore. They are the sweetest children ever. We stayed up with his family until late drinking tea and talking. His parents english isn't the greatest but we worked it out.

I decided that I want to move to Egypt. His family all live very close to each other, one of his sisters lives in the compound where his mother lives and my husband has his villa. It's absolutely beautiful. My husband always said we would go back to Egypt eventually, so I'm crossing my fingers it happens in the next two years because his mom and dad are getting older. Being around family like that was my first time, since I dont have family and was adopted at 16. The whole experience was just unreal to me.

We actually had to buy another two suitcases just to bring all the stuff back that we were gifted. His aunt came down for a week so we got to spend time with her. I was lucky enough to meet her when we went to New York.

We spent Christmas back here, and then new years together. We actually stayed in and went to sleep around midnight. (We must be getting old)

I just figured I would send an update since the last time I think it was before I went to Egypt.

Keep the faith, but don't be stupid! = )
