Nadia, don't scoff at their asking if Afghanistan is in the EU

If European countries will start opting out, who will the EU turn to for new members but to countries like Afghanistan? :)

Anyway, thanks for your well-written and absorbing account of life in Paris. I suspect you could write a weekly column about what you see. Where are you yourself from?
