Haha yes you're right... Barbes Rochechouart is really daunting if you're a woman... the maghrebi men just won't leave you alone, and if you're maghrebi looking it's even worse cause you're expected to be covered head to toe and you're also seen as easier to bully.

The older generation seem to blend in more, especially the Berber population cause they tend to have a stronger work ethic. It's the younger lot from the banlieues that struggle. On the one hand I can understand their frustration... the identity crisis that comes with coming from a conservative background... plus people are quite warm and inviting back in Morocco etc (they have to be cause of Islam)... that contrasts with the liberal attitudes of France... cold weather... then there's lack of work, money, feelings of inadequacy, religious schizophrenia (they want sex, their religion forbids it, can't find a girl etc)... all that is a problem but...

When will they realise that burning cars and insulting/policing innocent women is not going to solve anything? It's really cowardly and just dumb... and North African men are very short tempered which doesn't help....
