francesca,sorry for all you have experienced.i live in hurghada with my egyptian.i know what its like here and see so much of this. I am experiencing it with my own,and know he will eventually marry a egyptian girl whether i like it or not,even if we still are married.you are better off to cut it now,i have been with mine for 7 months and when we fight his verbal cruelty and emotional cruelty is staggering. but when all is going his way then of course he can be attentive and affectionate. believe me when i say most egyptian men are like this,i have met a few truly sweet ones,but the majority have what i call the JEKYLL/DR.HYDE SYNDROME.It truly appalls me and terrifies me how they are. They truly are insensitive,unmoral,manipulative,vicious and cruel in so many ways that it staggers the imagination. Please believe me do not go back to him i know people in the same situation here,one friend did not find out for over a year about his marriage to an egyptian wife behind her back after being married to him for a few years and giving over 1,000,000 pounds Egyptian to her husband to start businesses. Its so easy to believe their lies,they are so good at them and expressing exactly what you need to hear or want to hear.I am trying to find the strength emotionally again to finally leave mine,because i love him deeply but know that he is in so many ways just like the others. good luck to you and all others like ourselves.
