Destiny,

Long ago my son and I escaped, by the Grace of God. And by the Grace of God, we are still here and alive. Please read this which I typed years ago on this very site. Our brief story in summation.

Trust not only your heart, but your eyes and ears. Question this man whom you have come to love. Do you love him , or merely the image you have built up of him? Remember, people cannot change. Even with love. It is impossible to do so. What he is today he will be tomorrow if not worse in the long run. An excuse is just that...an excuse. Out of love don't make excuses for him or try to forget things. Reality is reality...and words and romance do not gloss the surface of crap to make it anything different.

To make a long story short. I am 26 years old, my son is three and a half. Out of desperation, in survival mode, when we were not allowed to leave my son and I climbed out a bathroom window to flee my husband. I believe he has been married several times before, possibly not just Egyptian women, possibly Western.

We met online five years ago in a depression chat room for yahoo. Married five months later in Cairo. Pregnant within a month of marriage. things escalated with excuse and apology..day after day until he stopped doing that and that is just the way 'things were' for us. Daily physical and emotional abuse, death threats, name calling, became the norm in our family. I had to protect my son. I had to live to protect my son.. so we escaped through a window while he was on the computer. He has had innumerable affairs, more than I'll probably ever know. Both online and in person. He did things with other women in front of our son even. I know this from a three year old trying to explain to me the games daddy and daisy would play on the bed without clothes. And the abuse in our marital relations I cannot even begin to relate.

But KNOW this: if anyone knows this man please contact me we could reach out to help each other. I know that we, his past family, are not his only victims. he attacked my neighbor, he attacked his cousin in rape attempts. He still has not replied to my divorce papers, has someone stalking us (because he cannot do so with the restraining order himself...). and God forbid next month he may gain visitation of my son. I know now that we are only here today to tell our story, that by God's graces we were able to survive to leave him. we still pray. I pray for God to continue to protect my son...the courts don't seem to want to do it and our lawyer has it conceded that we must accept visitation...please stranger pray for us as I pray for you.

This man used me as a ticket to the states, to get a visa, to get citizenship and now merely we are his possessions. Do not be fooled by the love of Allah ...there is no such thing. Study the religion closely to see this..there are provisions for men to beat their wives* if they are disobedient...provisions for men to have extramarital affairs with other women so long as they are not muslims..and that in heaven the man is rewarded with 50 virgins, women untouched by any man, simply for him only....the only truth, the only way, is Jesus Christ. There is love and forgiveness.

PLEASE, I beg of you, any woman talking or thinking of going to a foreign country to marry a middle eastern man, hear my story, from me and my three and a half year old son.do not do it. he may love you in some way, but with Islam, there are no provisions for the woman. trust me on this, marry a christian man(...'they become one flesh, treat her as you would treat yourself). One day, whether it be today, tomorrow, or a year from now. I have NO DOUBT this man will try, if not succeed in killing me as promised. please remember my words when you talk to that man.habibi.omry.ya hayaty that encompasses your world at that very moment. ps I can send a photo if anyone needs it. He is 6'1, 220 lbs, hazel-dark brown eyes, black hair (was wavy when younger with a small moustache), very charming, highly intelligent (linguist in five languages), charismatic.
