You are right Candy Apple, he has a UK passport already and has lived here for almost half his life.

I decided to see if I could find out anything and contacted [online] one of his UK family members, they know of me but have never met me. I kind of shot myself in the foot as I was very apologetic for bothering someone who doesn't know me, and just explained it had been weeks since I had heard from the guy and was wondering if the relative knew if he was ok. I didn't want the relative to block me so I said it was a one off request and I wouldn't keep bothering them. I got a response within 30 mins telling me the guy was still in Pakistan and the date he is due back, he said not to worry he 'should be alright'..... I now can't ask what he means as I promised I wouldn't contact him again. Should be alright? I don't know if he's had an accident, been forced to get married or it's just the way his relative expresses himself. So I am no better off - ha ha, except I know he's alive and well. I also don't know if he has been in touch with his relative- in which case why is he not in contact with me, or if the relative is just getting info from the family grapevine.

Still, now I have a date he is back in the UK so if he doesn't contact me to explain when he arrives back I am just going to walk away, block him from everything as others have suggested and try to move on with my life - it's been the worst few weeks I can remember!!!
