Advice to Laura

Dear Dr Pipes, your reader Laura from the UK met a Moroccan man who was very respectful etc etc. Laura said that she was very scared because she read many horror stories about marrying this man. Laura has sought advice about this situation. I will give her an unconventional advice which is not often given.

I think Laura is a Christian and the Moroccan prince is a Muslim. So I suggest to Laura that she should revise her knowledge of Christianity and determine what she finds good in Christianity (forgiveness, humility, and service to humanity can be cited as three very important aspects of Christianity). Armed with this knowledge, Laura should boldly invite the Moroccan man to convert to Christianity and, at the very least, insist that the children of the marriage will be raised in the UK in Christian faith.

Depending on how the guy reacts should exactly dictate how to proceed. This advice might seem strange but he is going to demand exactly the same from Laura with the roles of the religions reversed.
