update on last post

So I found out about my Scottish friends marriage situation. It seems she knows aboutb Egyptian wife.My friend has known her husband for over 11 years and married for over 6 almost 7 years. Her husband supposedly had a familial arrangement of long standing with the Egyptian wifes family of them marrying .So even though she was not happy about it she agreed to him placating his family and marrying the second wife and having a child.

The agreement supposedly was that the Egyptian wife keep to her city outside Cairo and Hurghada was to be for my friend and the husband only,no overlap. She agreed to one child ,he tried again for a boy hence youngest child,he has two girls 4 years apart,my friend was not happy about the second after his promise of only one and no further relations with wife physically,he usually spends most of his time in Hurghada.She agreed to his seeing children and financial support,she provides things for the other family,but of course he lied and had second child possibly tried for third hooping for the all important son, and he has brought them to Hurghada where all her European friends are who know nothing about second wife and children and promising never to do so,embarrassing her. So she tells me she has been unhappy for awhile and suspicious plus its her money which backed the cafe and the other business which is cars with drivers to cater to tourist industry also her money,so were talking thousands and thousands of euro's or british pounds probably at least 50,000 maybe more.So she is going to divorce him and try to get at least half of what she has invested back.

Everything is geared to help the man in divorce especially if he's married to a foreigner so she is going to have a long difficult battle and she knows it. He keeps wanting her to change her mind,he needs her more than she does him,her words not mine. its always about the money, i know i have been guilty of it with my own husband, So I wish her well,so the maxim of this story is as we all know be careful when you marry an Egyptian male ,whether younger or older or your own age. Make sure there is not another agenda on hand,and also remember the differences between our cultures and ways of thinking and doing things,whats right or wrong vary differently,and it truly is a mans world in their culture,so be prepared otherwise you will not survive. I wish all women married to Egyptian men the best of luck because you do need it, i wish my friend luck for all she is going through right at this moment,for me myself living here with my Egyptian husband all those who have been or will be married to one in the future. Just always beware and keep your eyesand ears open,and mouth clotsed.
