Ohhh..... .the sweet words have been coming fast and furiously - along with endless love, sad, etc. emojis. First he was extremely ill with a high fever, but couln't afford medications. Then he was so depressed at having to live in his country that he wanted to die. Then there was his unwillingness to associate with his peers because he did not have a fancy cell phone, a bike, money or expensive clothes. Then there were the stories of his poverty with no running water, he must sleep on a sofa because he doesn't have a bedroom and he can only afford to eat vegetable because he is so poor. Basically, if it's not one thing, it's another.I have no doubt he is probably very poor and struggling. That's not the issue.

I finally told him to back off, grow up and stop with all the mushy sentiments and emojis and to find a life with some friends. I am currently limiting my contact with him and have warned him if he continues to bother me with his whining I will block him. And I intend to do that in the near future.I have already unfriended him on Facebook. Right now, I can't go on Facebook without his seeing that I am online and texting me, and that is very annoying. Since I have unfriended him, I don't know how he can see my actiity. Strange.

I do hope other readers can see the kind of manipulation that goes on with these men. It seems they will go to any length to keep the connection with us - including threatening suicide. Thanks all for you advice and in put. It is much appreciated. Ruth
