Hmmm. Well based on what I know, they usually start acting differently once they realize that they can clear customs without you. I'm so serious. They get their green card and once the provisions have been removed, they show their true colors. Some stick around for citizenship, some don't. It is a fact of life. They are no longer dependent on you for sustainably, you see their true colors emerge..
