Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men

Submitted by Maria, from South America (United States), Jan 22, 2017 at 13:16

Hello, I am not a real victim of this kind of situation, but I've decided to write my experience, to give support to this kind of topic and waiting that more and more women read these relates, to guarantee they will be with open eyes and attentive against seductive and opportunistic guys. I am sad but relieved at the same time.

I am from a country from South America (sorry for my bad English). I am a mature and single woman and I've known a smart, nice and younger guy from North Africa in a site to practice English language.

At first, he was kind and available and I, on the other hand, a little naive about the situation. I was so happy to find such a nice person! In the same time I added him no my fb account, and we have talked for hours. And this continued for more than a week, every day. I got home and turned on my laptop (I wasn't using a cell phone in that time) and there was always a message from him: "hey! how are you doing? I miss you! Please come!..." And I attended him, all the times he asked me with his sweet words.

One day, I didn't answer him, for a real problem. He got nuts and was somewhat rude and possessive about my life. I've felt strange, but I liked that possession, the way he conducted the chat, getting information about me and my life! When I've felt myself like hypnotized by him, and have started to ask about him, he's started to 'ignore' me, the answers took so long, and there was always an excuse. The chats became tense, but I couldn't stop talking to him.

Then, one day he talked a really nonsense story about dogs, I was so disgusted and confused that I felt I couldn't talk to him anymore. However, I wasn't strong enough, and around two weeks after I've sent a message to him in an expectation to restarted talking to him. He answered friendly but didn't show the intention to talk to me again, and I went nuts!

One week after, I couldn't stand anymore and asked him to talk to me. And we restarted again. I was so happy the way he's sent me messages by messenger and whatsapp all the time (cause I gave my phone number in that time). And then, he restarted to ignore me again, and again... questions with no answers, chats cut off suddenly... which induced me to make some searches.

Searches about him (despite his information in fb are totally locked), searches about men in his country, about their habits. I found many things about mature women cheated by men like that (including this site), and I 've found contradictories about him as well. I am relieved because I am sure he is this kind of man but he couldn't get on with me, probably my questions annoyed him or much more probably, I am not the target he is looking for, because all the time he ignored me, I could see he was online! He didn't block me in whatsapp yet, and I didn't want to do too. And I know why.

Anyway, found this blog was really useful to my life, and I hope many women around the world may find it before things get worse. If someone would like to talk to me, I will be glad to!
