Dear Ms.Cole,

You are absolutely right.There are red flags all along.Your friend is under the spell of a typical response by an affectionate person to a person much younger.There is that " I am still desirable" factor.Though age does not really count when it comes to a selfless relationship ,these relationships that are intentionally and deliberately cultivated by manipulative men are to be avoided at all costs.Why would a young man want to marry a much older woman from a completely different cultural background unless he desires citizenship,if not now,then much later.Once that's bagged,off goes the loving,caring ,loyal older woman and will be replaced by a young woman who will give him children to propagate his family and more importantly--his religion.Life in all western nations 100 times better.There is no internal or external war going on in Algeria of significance and these men don't have any other way to enter the western nations.

Usually these marriages take place in the mosque which have no legal validity in the western nations--even in England where some British indigenous women have married some naturalized persons of foreign origin--and so if and when such marriages break,there is alimony due.If one travels to their nations ,the passport might be snatched away and they are just helpless.

I can't warn your friend but you can definitely stay away.There may appear heavenly happiness in your friend's life--at least initially--and much remains to be seen.

Never leave your nation.Here you have people to fall back upon.Be strong,be proud of yourself,hold your head high and if it's destined you will get the right man for you somewhere near you.We are all young at heart( it's said our souls never age though our bodies do) and so are vulnerable,Beware.Don't give in.Stop corresponding with this guy.

It's been a lengthy reply and yet a heartfelt one . Finally you will do what you THINK proper and never what you FEEL compelled to do by your loving heart.Best luck my friend.
