I actually am Canadian and have always had a love for Egyptian culture and finally aftyer so many years decided to come see it. My educational bakground is a degree in Psychology and a Minor in Classical History. Both my elder brother and i have been interested in ancient civilizations,especially Egypt since childhood. We both have been fortunate to travel extensively since childhood.Iwas in a previous relationship with an Egyptian,first time ever and came over to try and work out some things in relationship,but to toxic ,so i left and started travelling around Egypt. I met my husband through a mutual friend who has known him for 7 years and my husband had worked for in Cairo. I had come to Haurghada and my friend called Sherif to ask him to look out for me and take care of me,I am as I stated an older but very striking woman,I was a model when younger and still look very attractive and younger than i am. Unfortunately my friend Mohammed nor I quite realized what would eventually happen from an innocent meeting and where a relationship would develop and eventually leed to. Mohammedi is as shocked and disbelieving of what has occurrred as i am,we both feel betrayed and used and he cannot understand how much my husband has changed in life and for the worse.So i will stay for awhile longer and heal my emotional wounds before deciding what to do and where to go in my life. I can relate so well to others on this forum,and for those who are fortunate enough to have met an married a good Egyptian man, i wish you the best, of luck,because youn are the minority,and not just among us foreign women,i talk to so many Egyptian women younger and older here who i have got to know and most women here say that Egyptian men for the most part are liars and bullies. So believe me its not just our opinions of them as abused women. The majority of their own i speak to have told me horror stories,i know some as friends.So my advice,their are good and bad men every where in the world,but a lot of men here really do stand out as horrible.Only my own observation.
